Currently deployed in Theater, the Rugged Integrated Battlefield Server (RIBS) enables
the Army to run the Collection Management Tool (CMT) developed at the US Army’s
Battle Command Battle Lab in Fort Huachuca (BCBL-H). CMT is a battle field awareness
tool that is employed by field commanders to synthesize tactical informational inputs
and to 'see' the battlefield. In conjunction with the BCBL-H, SprayCool® built, tested
and shipped hardware systems for use in field running the CMT application developed
by BCBL-H. To date RIBS units have recorded over 60,000 hours of operation.
Design work is currently underway for the second phase that challenges SprayCool
to improve RIBS performance by 4X while simultaneously decreasing space and weight
claim by 4X. With the appropriate changes, CMT can be used on the move bringing
critical data closer to the front lines. Testing is scheduled to begin by end of
year 2007.
