Large radar systems on military platforms in the field today have already accepted
single-phase liquid cooling as the baseline thermal management technique due to
the extreme power densities of components in the transmit/receive (T/R) modules.
Even so, as radar system performance requirements continue to increase, the issues
associated with the increased heat load and heat density is pushing the limits of
conventional single-phase liquid cooling. SprayCool® is now developing solutions
for T/R modules and radar systems as a whole that reduce size and weight by enabling
increased RF power at reliable operating temperatures.
